SK Economic Development Committee Meets Tonight (and 4 More Things)

    Afternoon Ezone Drop-In: Today from 2-4 p.m., the Narragansett Public Library (35 Kingstown Rd., Narragansett) will host an Ezone Drop-In event. Come in for some one-on-one help with downloading an e-book or audiobook to your laptop, e-reader, iPad, iPhone, Android, Blackberry or Windows 7 phone or mp3 player. Be sure to bring your devices and cords, library card number and your Apple, Barnes and Noble and Amazon account passwords.

    SK EDC Meeting: The South Kingstown Economic Development Committee will meet at 6 p.m. this evening in Council Chambers at SK Town Hall (180 High St., Wakefield). Click here to view tonight's agenda.

    Ballroom Dance Lessons: Tonight and each Wednesday evening year-round, The Towers in Narragansett offers ballroom dance lessons led by instructors Sara Barker and Sue Davis. Ballroom lessons are held at 6 and 7 p.m., Tango at 8 p.m., followed by an open practice for all from 9-10:30 p.m. Cost is $15 per person for Ballroom or Tango, or $22 per person for a full evening. Click here for more information.

    RI 9/11 Ceremony: A 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony, marking the 12th anniversary of those who lost their lives, survivors and our local heroes in the tragic events of Sept. 11, 2001, will be held at 5:30 p.m. this evening at Riverpoint Community Park, located at 110 Hay St., West Warwick. Members of the public, as well as Clergy representation, RI Veterans councils and organizations, Scout troops, public safety honor guards and school bands and choruses are invited to attend and participate in this solemn occasion of reflection.
