This Weekend: Peace Dale Holiday Stroll, Towers Bazaar and More

Here are just a handful of ideas to kickstart your weekend planning.

Holiday Food & Winter Clothing Drive: From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. this Saturday, Dec. 14, Keller Williams Realty is hosting its 1st Annual Holiday Food and Winter Clothing Drive at its 14 Woodruff Avenue office in Narragansett. The event will feature free raffle items, drinks, food and a visit from Santa Claus, and all proceeds and donations will benefit the Jonnycake Center

Typhoon Disaster Relief Benefit: Starting at noon on Saturday, Hank's Down South Bar & BBQ, located at 33 State St., Narragansett, will host a live music benefit for Typhoon Haiyan Disaster Relief. Admission to the all day/all night musical lineup is free with a suggested donation. Click here for band/artist lineup and more information.

Peace Dale Holiday Stroll: Beginning at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14 in the Center of Peace Dale Village, the merchants of Peace Dale will ring in the season during the "Holiday Stroll". Many businesses will be holding open houses throughout the afternoon and evening to celebrate the holidays and the historic village and community of Peace Dale. Click here for complete details.

Towers Holiday Bazaar: From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday, The Towers in Narragansett is hosting a Holiday Bazaar. The shopping event will feature crafts by local artisans dedicated to ensuring your gift will be remembered for years to come.

Wakefield Jazz at The Contemporary: This and each Sunday from 2-5 p.m., The Contemporary Theater Company, located at 327 Main Street in Wakefield, will host "Wakefield Jazz Sessions". The weekly event invites local musicians to bring their instrument and jam with a house band and fellow jazz musicians. Cost is $5 per person. Click here to view the the event page on Facebook.

Playing Now at CCA: A Christmas Carol will be performed Dec. 5-22 at the Courthouse Center for the Arts, located at 3481 Kingstown Road in West Kingston. Thursday through Saturday night performances will take place at 8 p.m. Matinees will take place on Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m. Click here for details about this year's eclectic rendition of the holiday classic and find out how to purchase tickets!
