Fourth of July Festivities in South County

Are you planning to celebrate the Fourth of July here in South County? If so, here are several places  to catch fireworks in the area:

• July 3: Narragansett Town Beach - Festivities start at noon, the 88th Army Band will give a free performance at 5 p.m. on the deck of the North Beach Clubhouse, and a fireworks display will round at the evening at 9 p.m.

• July 4: North Kingstown Town Beach - The Layfayette Band Concert begins at 6:30 p.m. with fireworks to follow.

• July 4: Old Mountain Field (South Kingstown) - The fun begins at 5:30 p.m. with activities, food concessions and live music. Fireworks begin at 9:15 p.m.

• July 4: Misquamicut Beach (Westerly) - Fireworks begin at 9 p.m.
