7th Annual, Wakefield Concert Band Benefit Concert

THE WAKEFIELD CONCERT BAND PRESENTS THE
SEVENTH ANNUAL BENEFIT CONCERT

WITH PROCEEDS TO BENEFIT SOUTH COUNTY HOSPITAL !
"
Wakefield, Rhode Island, May 4, 2014 — The Wakefield Concert Band is pleased to present “A Kaleidoscope of Sound” performance, on Sunday, May 4, 2014, at 4pm, at South Kingstown High School, Columbia St., Wakefield, RI. Committed to strengthening community partnerships through music, the Band this year will raise funds for the STAR Program at South County Hospital which provides support to cancer survivors as well as cancer services."

“Last year this concert raised over $16,600.00 for the hospital, and our goal this year is to naturally increase that amount,” says Band Director, Barry Lieberman. “We are especially pleased that NBC Channel 10’s Jim Taricani has offered to emcee the event once again,” Lieberman adds. " The band’s program will provide music sure to entertain the entire family. Featured arrangements this year will include a Disney Medley, Ravel’s Bolero, Beauty and the Beast, and Yesterday, a Beatles classic. "

Tickets are available at the door or in advance by calling (401) 294-7101 or contacting any Band member. Tickets are $10 for adults and teens (children under 12 free). Doors will open at 3pm for purchasing the many valuable raffle items donated by local businesses and individuals.
