Light Up Your Library Tour Today in Narragansett (and 4 More Things)

Today is Thursday Nov. 14, 2013 and here are some things to know about the week ahead.

    Light Up Your Library Tour: Today from 3-6 p.m., the Maury Loontjens Memorial Library (Narragansett Public Library), located at 35 Kingstown Road will host a free evening of interactive exhibits, games, prizes and entertainment for all ages. The family event, sponsored by National Grid, will teach participants how to save energy and money at home. Guests will also have the opportunity to purchase energy-saving compact florescent light bulbs for $1, with proceeds to benefit the Library. Click here to help the Library win a $15,000 grant to become energy efficient by voting in National Grid's Energy Star Lighting Makeover Contest.

    Meet & Greet Open House: At 4 p.m. this afternoon, The Productive Connections Network is hosting a Meet and Green Open House event at Phil's Main Street Grille in Wakefield. Come meet and network with other business professionals in a relaxed atmosphere to share ideas and grow you business.     Alzheimer's Lecture: From 6:30-8 p.m. tonight, Nov. 14, South County Hospital, located at 100 Kenyon Avenue in Wakefield, will host "Living with Alzheimer's Disease". The free lecture will take place in the hospital's Potter Conference Center and will feature discussion about risk factors, symptoms and treatment options. Click here for more information and to register online.
