ReplyI wish I had known this during the "great flood". When my landlord failed to act when two floors flooded, I called the town manager, they came out and told me the house had several building violations, then FEMA condemnded the house and I was forced to find shelter for my family...long story short, that landlord refused to refund our deposit, and demanded I pay rent while the house was condemned. Still upset they never refunded my deposit!

ReplyI have two Boxers, one girl, one boy...I LOVE THEM! They are the best buddies! Until last year I also had a Sheltie, but sadly after almost 12 years, he passed away. My sheltie seemed to be pre-program to know every command! But my boxers...well thats another story! Dogs rule!

ReplyI am not a football mom, I band mom and a guard mom, so I'm not at the games for the football but I have to say I feel Gansett did a great job playing against EG. I am also proud of the Gansett parents I saw shaking the hands of EG parents and saying "Congrats". Sportmanship is a huge part of the youth games and I know winning is everything to some, but not to all. Way to go Gansett! You made this alumn proud to wear her red and white!

I see no harm in being open on Holidays. Many people have to work on holidays, not everyone closes. Anyone who works in either the medical field, Firefighters, police, news crews, and lets not forget our men and women serving for our country. I know there are more people who work on the holidays, but these are just the ones I know since I worked in an ER and Holidays and weekends were just other days that ended in "Y", it actually worked out for me. I was a single mom and loved the holiday pay! As the reader above stated, there are so many people in different industries that have aways worked on Holidays, why is it an issue now? We are in hard times, and I know several people that would have jumped at the chance to work on Thanksgiving in any store. I managed to spend several hours at my local high school while coaching two teams during our half time performance, then stayed till the end while two of my children played in the band...then came home finished cooking dinner for the family, then rested and went on my traditional black friday shopping trip. The downfall of our youth is not from anything I've listed, it goes way beyond that. Besides, you need to give thanks EVERY DAY you are alive, and enjoy dinner with friends and family more often. I hope you all did enjoy your turkey day!

ReplyI would call my new legal team... Then buy a large house in town to accommodate my newly adopted children (I'm in the middle of adopting now) then assist the high school with its new field and yes buy a new instrument for every child in the towns music program! Oh yeah and buy my hubby a working car!
