Watch For Slippery Roads Overnight

A mix of rain and snow is expected after midnight, making for potentially tricky road conditions.

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather alert for Saturday night into early Sunday morning, with up to an inch of snow falling in the higher elevations of Rhode Island and temperatures in the 30s. Follow the progress of tonight's snowfall on the South Kingstown Patch Weatherbug forecast page. A mix of freezing rain and snow is possible, beginning before midnight and continuing through about 1 a.m. The precipation could make roads slippery and form black ice in many areas. Clouds are expected to diminish closer to daylight, with sunny skies and temperatures in the low 40s forecast for Sunday.
