Expand your mind with Charlie Chaplin and books, and then blog about it for Patch. Win, win, win.
Here are the (more than) Five Things for Friday, April 13, 2012: Blog blog blog blog blogggggg. At Narragansett-South Kingstown Patch, we’re always looking for new bloggers, despite our obnoxiously long name. If you’d like free exposure for your existing blog, or simply want to start writing, feel free to shoot an email to Stephen.greenwell@patch.com to get the process started. You can write about WHATEVER you’d like! More shameless plugging. I will actually be at Coffee Connection in Narragansett for office hours this week, promise, I swear. Come by to shoot the breeze, or to just gaze awkwardly at me. Just make sure you leave an Alley’s Donut for me. I should be there from about noon to 2 p.m. Well lookie here, it’s a talkie! Throughout …

Now that the drudgery of Monday is behind us, we can get back to more usual tasks, like counting down to Friday and the weekend.
Here are the (more than) Five Things for Tuesday, March 20, 2012: Town manager’s job is safe, at least for now. The Narragansett Town Council took no formal action on the job of Town Manager at Monday night’s meeting. Although council president Glenna Hagopian brought up what she believed to be budget irregularities, both Grady Miller and fellow councilor Christopher Wilkens fought back against her claims. We will have several stories from Monday’s meeting posted on the site today and tomorrow, so keep your eyes peeled for their posting. Spring into Spring at the Guild! That is literally the event’s name today, so I felt the need to make no further additional pithy comments. For $11 (residents) or $14 (non-residents), you and your child …

12:00 am on Tuesday, March 20, 2012
Let's get this straight: Narrow River Preservation Group, who usually goes through the special appropriations process to get funding from the Town of Narragansett side steps the process. By order of Town Manager Grady Miller, after simply being invoiced by this special interest group, sends them a $3,000 check. The other 20 or so groups who applied for funding got nothing. Sounds like a backroom …   more ›
