Police charge South Kingstown residents with felony possession of marijuana and drunken driving.

South Kingstown Woman Charged With Drunken Driving Marilyn L. Parent, 58, of 509 Red House Road, South Kingstown, was arrested at about 12:07 p.m. on Nov. 29 and charged with drunken driving and cited for refusing to submit to a chemical test. According to police, they received a report of an erratic driver on Route 1 south, near the South County Commons. A Massachusetts man is charged with drunken driving after he tells police he’s in North Providence.

Massachusetts Man Charged With Drunken Driving, Possession of Marijuana Shaun Mitchell, 22, of 245 Providence Road, South Grafton, MA, was arrested at about 2:50 a.m. on Oct. 28 and charged with drunken driving and possession of marijuana, and cited for refusing to submit to a chemical test, driving while in possession of a controlled substance, and driving while in possession of an open container. A University of Rhode Island student is charged with possession of marijuana and a switchblade.

URI Student Charged With Possession of Marijuana, Weapon Alexander Mansi, 19, of 58 Jerimoth Drive, Branford, CT, was arrested at about 2:16 a.m. on Oct. 26 and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of a switchblade, and cited for possession of alcohol by a minor. Police said Mansi is a student at the University of Rhode Island. A North Kingstown woman allegedly tells police she can’t complete field sobriety tests “because I’ve had too much to drink.”

North Kingstown Woman Charged With Drunken Driving Susan D. Northup, 61, of 71 Harrington Road, North Kingstown, was arrested at about 12:50 a.m. on Oct. 22 and charged with drunken driving, possession of marijuana and driving in possession of a controlled substance. According to police, an officer saw a Toyota Corolla driven by Northup swerving and going five to 10 miles per hour under the speed limit on Succotash Road. NK Man Charged With 3rd DWI; Machete Confiscated

Bood, 26, of 73 Windward Walk, North Kingstown, was arrested at about 2:33 a.m. on Oct. 31 and charged with: According to police, they received a report of a Mercury Mountaineer parked on the side of Tuckertown Road, with the driver passed out behind the wheel. Police said that when they arrived on the scene, they met with the calling party, who handed police the keys to the vehicle. South Kingstown Woman Charged With Domestic Assault, Domestic Disorderly Conduct Joann L. Brown, 41, of 392 Rose Hill Road, South Kingstown, was arrested at about 12:33 p.m. on Oct. 17 and charged with domestic assault and domestic disorderly conduct. According to police, they received a report of a disturbance at Brown’s home. Police said the victim, a 25-year-old woman and family member of Brown, got into a verbal argument with Brown, which culminated in Brown shoving her, and then throwing coffee and a porcelain coffee mug.
