SK Police Log: February 11, 2013

A University of Rhode Island student is charged with obstruction after trying repeatedly to enter a fire-damaged home with pot in it.

URI Student Charged With Obstruction For Entering Fire-Damaged Home James R. Jarmoszko, 21, of 265 Oakwoods Drive, Wakefield, was arrested at about 9:03 a.m. on Feb. 11 and charged with obstruction. Police said Jarmoszko is a student at the University of Rhode Island. According to police, an officer was posted at a home on Oakwoods Drive because a fire had taken place there the previous night. Police said access to the house was barred because it was under investigation by the fire marshal, both as a potential crime scene and for structural integrity, and also by detectives, …

Warrant Issued for Drunken Driving Suspect

A Pawtucket man is charged with drunken driving – second offense – by South Kingstown police, and a warrant has been issued for his arrest after a missed court hearing.

Pawtucket Man Charged With Drunken Driving Second Offense, Underage Possession of Alcohol Michael A. Rosa, 20, of 26 Wellesley Ave., Pawtucket, was arrested at about 11:18 p.m. on Jan. 19 and charged with drunken driving second offense, obstruction and driving with a suspended license, and cited for possession of alcohol by a minor and refusing to submit to a chemical test. According to police, they received a bulletin of a possible drunk driver in a blue four-door sedan, driving on to Route 138 from Route 1. Police: A drunk driver tells them that “God is gonna take care of you,” plus other alcohol issues stemming from New Year’s Eve.

Alleged Drunken Driver: God Will Take Care Of Police Wayne Everett, 42, of 2030 Kingstown Road, South Kingstown, was arrested at about 3:29 a.m. on Jan. 1 and charged with drunken driving. According to police, an officer noted a green Jeep Cherokee driven by Everett at a high rare of speed on Kingstown Road. Police said a radar reading wasn’t obtained, but Everett was swerving and made a right-hand turn on to High Street without a signal. Police said a traffic stop was made on High Street as a result. SK Police Log: September 1, 2012

A West Kingston man is allegedly drunk, but definitely not missing his insurance card.

West Kingston Man Charged With Drunken Driving, Not Missing Insurance Card Herbert W. Rockwell, 36, of 2080 South County Trail, West Kingston, was arrested at about 12:22 a.m. on Sept. 1 and charged with drunken driving, and cited for refusing to submit to a chemical test. According to police, an officer noted Rockwell’s grey Dodge pickup truck swerving on Kingstown Road. A stop was made in the 2600-section. A Wakefield man waffles on taking field sobriety tests, and a YMCA lifeguard is charged with possession of marijuana.

North Kingstown Man Charged With Driving While Intoxicated Krist McLaughlin, 37, of 60 Second St., North Kingstown, was arrested at about 1:19 a.m. on June 16 and charged with driving while intoxicated and cited for refusing to submit to a chemical test. According to police, a Jeep Wrangler driven by McLaughlin cut off an officer while making a turn on to Pershing Avenue. A traffic stop was made on Pershing.
