Several Arrested for Warrants, Minor Violations

South Kingstown police arrested several for warrants and license violations. South Kingstown police logs from March 29 and March 30, 2013.

Unless otherwise noted, information about the following incidents was supplied by the South Kingstown Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction. North Kingstown Woman Arrested for Warrant, License Violation Julie M. Mathieu Tavino, 33, of 55 Asqah Drive, North Kingstown, was arrested at about 1:54 p.m. on March 29 and charged with driving with an expired license. Police said a Third Division District Court warrant was also out for her arrest. According to police, an officer driving behind Tavino’s car on Route 1 noted that her license plate sticker was expired. A background check also revealed that her license was suspended, and a warrant was out for her arrest for failing to appear at a court hearing for a suspended …

A man allegedly tells police he’s not going to like about drinking and driving.

Manville Resident Charged With Drunken Driving, License Violation Jeffrey R. Therien, 28, of 12 Joyce Ann Drive, Manville, was arrested at about 5:16 p.m. on Nov. 23 and charged with drunken driving and driving with an expired license, and cited for refusing to submit to a chemical test. According to police, they received a report of a three-car accident near the South County Commons, with the third car hitting the back of the second car, forcing it into the first car. A URI student tells police that he hopes they made mistakes, so his drunken driving arrest will be dismissed.

URI Student Hopes Police Made Mistakes in Drunken Driving Arrest William F. Reardon, 22, of 9 Reservoir Circle, Jamestown, was arrested at about 1:27 a.m. on Sept. 12 and charged with drunken driving. Police said Reardon is a student at the University of Rhode Island. According to police, an officer traveling on Route 1 by the Salt Pond Road exit noted a silver Chrysler 300 swerving. As a result, a traffic stop was made.
