A Providence man turns himself in on car theft charges, police said.

Providence Man Turns Self In For Car Theft Eric Butler, 42, of 208 Prarie Ave., Providence, was arrested at about 10:35 a.m. on Jan. 28 and charged with larceny greater than $1,500 – a 2009 grey Hyundai Accent. According to police, on Dec. 28 they received a report of a car stolen from the Xtra Mart on Tower Hill Road. Police said that after an investigation, Butler was identified as a suspect.
