SK Teen Charged With Breaking and Entering

Zachary Richmond, 19, allegedly tells police he was looking for an ounce of weed when he broke into a house based on a friend’s tip.

Unless otherwise noted, information about the following incidents was supplied by the South Kingstown Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction. Zachary Richmond, 19, of 81 North Road, South Kingstown, was arrested at about 11:30 a.m. on April 11 and charged with felony breaking and entering. According to police, they received information based on witness statements and a fingerprint lift that Richmond had broken into a home on Rose Circle on March 5. He was arrested on April 11. Police said that when questioned about the incident, Richmond told them he hadn’t broken into the home because a 13-year-old girl had given him a key for it. Vanilla Bean Thief Pleads to Charge

Police catch Joseph Bianco, 24, for a robbery at the Vanilla Bean after his apartment burns down in Narragansett.

Joseph Bianco, 24, now of 2015 Birch St., Scotch Plains, NJ, and formerly of 56 Meadowrue Trail, Narragansett, and 108 Boon St., Narragansett, pleaded no contest on March 19 to a South Kingstown police charge of breaking and entering into the Vanilla Bean in August 2011. Bianco was ordered to pay $450 in assessments, and a deferred sentence was imposed. According to South Kingstown police reports included in court files, in August 2011 someone broke into the Vanilla Bean while it was closed. Larceny, B+E Investigation Leads to Felony Pot Arrest

According to South Kingstown police, an investigation into a breaking and entering leads to the discovery of a marijuana grow at another home.

Unless otherwise noted, information about the following incidents was supplied by the South Kingstown Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction. Bernard Charest, 47, of 167 Usquepaugh Road, South Kingstown, was arrested at about 12:57 p.m. on March 19 and charged with felony counts of breaking and entering, and larceny. According to police, they received a report of a break-in at a home on South County Trail. Police said the home was broken in to at some point between March 3 and March 10. It is not lived in, but contained several family heirlooms. South Kingstown Teen Charged With Receiving Stolen Goods Douglas F. Engstrume, 19, of 38 Meadow Ave., South Kingstown, was arrested at about 10:55 a.m. on Dec. 10 and charged with receiving stolen goods. According to police, on Dec. 10 Engstrume modified his statement in relation to a breaking and entering case that occurred on Nov. 20 involving a minor and two others. Police said that based on his new statement, Engstrume admitted driving the three to Gamestop in order to trade-in an Xbox 360 and games for cash. Narragansett Man Charged With Felony B+E

A man involved in an arrest after a fire in Narragansett in July is now charged with breaking and entering in South Kingstown.

Unless otherwise noted, information about the following incidents was supplied by the South Kingstown Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction. Joseph Bianco, 23, of 56 Meadowrue Trail, Narragansett, was arrested at about 7:40 p.m. on Aug. 21 and charged with felony breaking and entering, and a misdemeanor count of vandalism. According to South Kingstown police, Bianco was picked up by Narragansett police at about 7 p.m. on Aug. 21. A warrant had been issued for his arrest after he allegedly broke into the Vanilla Bean Ice Cream Shop on Aug. 23, 2011.
