SK’s Johnson Tabbed for RIIL Hall of Fame

South Kingstown’s Raymond Johnson is one of 11 former athletes being inducted into the Rhode Island Interscholastic League Hall of Fame in the Class of 2013.

5 THINGS: There Are No Sports Today

If you dislike when sporting events are included in Five Things, then congrats! This is the edition for you, except that not much else is happening.

Here are the Five Things for Monday, January 23, 2012: There are no sports today, or rather, much of anything. According to the RIIL, there are no sporting events today, and the middle school girls’ and boys’ basketball teams are also done with their respective seasons. Frankly, our events calendar for today is also pretty sparse, so uh, if we’re missing something, let us know in the comments. As a result, we’re scraping the bottom of the barrel a bit for this Five Things, so please don’t judge. “I vant your blood!” One thing you can do today, and many other days of the week, is to give blood at the South County Donor Center of the Rhode Island Blood Center on Woodruff Avenue.
