Narragansett Police Log: November 2, 2012

Police cite tenants and a property owner for violating the town’s noise ordinance.

Unless otherwise noted, information about the following incidents was supplied by the Narragansett Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction. Renters, Property Owner Cited for Another Violation of Noise Ordinance At about 1:52 a.m. on Nov. 2, police received a report of a loud party at 220 Knowlesway. According to police, about 150 to 175 people were at the party, with a large amount of litter in the surrounding yards and noises coming from the property. Narragansett Police Log: June 22 and 23, 2012

An allegedly drunk driver insists that he knows his rights, even if he’s smashed.

Unless otherwise noted, information about the following incidents was supplied by the Narragansett Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction. Allegedly Drunk Providence Man Definitely Knows His Rights, Man Johan Manuel Castillo, 31, of 24 Hilarity St., Providence, was arrested at about 1:35 a.m. on June 23 and charged with drunken driving. He was also cited for refusing to submit to a chemical test. According to police, while monitoring the nightly close of the Coast Guard House, they observed a white Oldsmobile driven by Castillo backing up and almost hitting a group of pedestrians. URI Student Charged With DWI Ryan William Bucknam, 18, of Fayerweather Hall at the University of Rhode Island, was arrested at about 1:29 a.m. on Feb. 11 and charged with driving while intoxicated and refusing to submit to a chemical test. According to police, officers made a traffic stop on Great Island Road because a car driven by Bucknam was traveling the wrong way down a one-way. Police said when they asked Bucknam for his license, he acted nervous and told them he didn’t have his.
