The following colleges have sent us honors notices or releases about these students: - Alicia Richards, a Narragansett resident attending the Prout School, has been awarded a $14,000 scholarship to study occupational therapy at Alvernia University. The Presidential Scholarship is awarded to high school seniors with a minimum SAT score of 1130 (two portions) and a GPA of 3.5. - Paige Damle, a Wakefield resident attending Quinnipiac University, has been inducted into the Tau Rho Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau, the international honor society for nursing. Damle was one of 48 students honored. - Hannah Kraines, a Wakefield resident, was named to the Deans’ List at Azusa Pacific University. For our past individual Dean’s List articles, click here. …

To the editor, In our small community, if you own or work for a small business, your neighbors are your customers, friends and co-workers. And they’re all looking for ways to stand out and promote their products and services locally. We’d like you to tell them about Beach Blanket Bidding, this unique fundraiser that benefits every child in the school system and connects the 1,500 families across our community. The BBB Committee works hard to promote the event, and sponsors it via various marketing tools, including the event website, printed materials and social platforms.
