Supplemental Gansett Police Reports: September 14 to 21, 2012

Police charged a Wickford man with drunken driving, second offense, and cite several URI students for alcohol violations.

The arrests were not included in the originally printed media packet, either because of ongoing investigations, vacations for commanding officers or mistakenly by oversight. Wickford Man Charged With Drunken Driving, Second Offense Adrian O. Iselin, 50, of 110 Pleasant St., Wickford, was arrested at about 8:20 p.m. on Sept. 21 and charged with drunken driving, second offense within five years, and cited for refusing to submit to a chemical test. Party on Kingstown Road Leads to Alcohol Citations At about 12:19 a.m. on Sept. 29, police received a report of a loud party at 112 Kingstown Road. According to police, about 80 people were at the party, and bass vibrations from the noise could be felt two blocks away. Police said the renters were slow to respond to the door and to clear the party. Police said that while clearing the party, they noted Justin D. Police issue several alcohol citations to underage URI students.

Party on Saltaire Avenue Results in Five Alcohol Citations At about 12:20 a.m. on Sept. 23, police received a report of a loud party at 60 Saltaire Avenue. According to police, about 150 to 200 people were at the party, which had loud music and voices, and multiple cars and people in the middle of the road, blocking access to emergency vehicles. Police said the tenants were cooperative in clearing the party quickly, and also cleaned beer bottles, cans and plastic cups from outside the residence. Narragansett Police Log: September 19, 20 and 21, 2012

Police cite three for fighting, and arrest others for marijuana and child support violations, and warn another about the shower show he’s providing.

Three URI Students Cited for Fighting at Coast Guard House Rainford Geovani Thomas, 22, of 24 Green Lane, Narragansett, and Connor G. Fiske, 20, and Jordan A. Fiske, 21, of 15 Short Road, Barrington, were cited for fighting. Police said all three are students at the University of Rhode Island. According to police, they received a report of a fight in the parking lot of the Coast Guard House. A North Kingstown woman allegedly scratches a man during an argument in a truck.

North Kingstown Woman Charged With Assault Jodie Dumont, 34, of 51 New Lexington Road, North Kingstown, was arrested at about 12:57 a.m. on Sept. 17 and charged with assault. According to police, based on interviews with Dumont and the victim, the two had been arguing in a truck together on the drive home from a bar. Police said that based on the interviews, Dumont became upset when the driver took them to his parents’ home in Narragansett instead of her home in North Kingstown, and scratched the man during the argument. Two College Students Arrested at Coast Guard House Jonathan J. Holland, 23, of 90 Fortin Road, South Kingstown, and Alexander Deluise, 24, of 290 Shawomet Ave., Warwick, were arrested at about 12:45 a.m. on Sept. 15 and charged with disorderly conduct. Police said Holland is a student at the Community College of Rhode Island, and Deluise is a student at the University of Rhode Island. According to police, a bouncer at the Coast Guard House told them that he had just told Holland and Deluise to leave for arguing. Moral lessons from police reports – Don’t swear at officers during an unrelated traffic stop.

Don’t Yell Obscenities At Police David Cantanzaro, 18, of 115 Love Lane, Warwick, was cited at about 1:37 a.m. on May 30 and charged with possession of alcohol by a minor. Police said Cantanzaro is a student at George Washington University. According to police, at about 1:30 a.m. an officer was conducting a motor vehicle stop on Point Judith Road near John Street. According to the officer, a red SUV passed by and a passenger yelled, “**** you!” at the officer. The officer radioed a description of the SUV to another officer in the area, who pulled it over about seven minutes later on…

Three Cited on Cypress Avenue – Again At about 10:25 p.m. on May 5, police received a report of loud noises and swearing coming from 39 Cypress Avenue. According to police, when they arrived they first noted about 12 cars parked at the home, with five of the 12 parked illegally in the street. Narragansett Man Charged With Stealing Car Parts in North Kingstown According to North Kingstown Patch, Michael J. Barney, 25, of 21 Sassafras Trail in Narragansett, was arrested on April 24 at 3 p.m. and charged with larceny. In October 2011, Barney allegedly stole a catalytic converter from a Subaru Forester at Kingstown Auto Recycling. Six months after the investigation began, police discovered that Barney had sold the converter to Metal Commodities for $120 two days after the part was stolen. Narragansett Man With Dirty Sweatshirt Charged With Possession of Marijuana Tyler F. Smith, 21, of 11 Glocester Road, Narragansett, was arrested at about 2:33 a.m. on April 6 and charged with possession of marijuana. According to police, an officer saw a blue SUV driven by Smith make a left-hand turn from Point Judith Road on to Burnside Avenue while the traffic light was still red.
