Narragansett Police Log: December 21 and 22, 2012

Four are cited are a party is broken up, and a teenager is charged with obstruction after lying about his name.

Four College Students Cited Following Loud Party Complaint on Rodman Street At about 12:15 a.m. on Dec. 21, police received a report of a loud party at 118 Rodman Street. According to police, about 80 people were at the home, with 20 cars parked illegally in the surrounding area. Police noted that in front of the home, there were several empty wine bottles, Christmas decorations and plastic debris. Police said that while breaking the party up, they saw Michael P. Sleeve Tattoo Betrays Identity – Narragansett Man Charged With License Violation, Obstruction Grant W. Smith, 29, of 99 Pettaquamscutt Lake Road, Narragansett, was arrested at about 11:25 a.m. on Oct. 2 and charged with driving with a suspended license and obstruction. Police said a Fourth Division District Court warrant was also out for his arrest, for missing a court hearing on May 3 for a suspended license charge. A Family Affair – Two Brothers, One Sister, Charged with Disorderly Conduct, Assault While Looking for Fourth Family Member At about 2:53 a.m. on July 5, police arrested three family members and residents of 36 Montauk Road following a report of a fight at an Aroostook Trail home. Michael M. Berrigan, 35, Dawn M. Berrigan, 39, and Edward Berrigan, 38, were all charged with disorderly conduct. Edward was also charged with simple assault. According to Narragansett police, fighting and claims of a knife at a Meadowsweet Trail home result in three arrests.

Several Arrested Following Report of a Knife at Meadowsweet Trail Home Narragansett police made several arrests at about 2:25 a.m. on May 18 following a noise complaint coming from 9 Meadowsweet Trail. According to police, when they arrived at the home, they noted a group in a downstairs room, visible through an open window. Police asked the group to open the front door. A South Kingstown man is charged with drunken driving, and a URI student allegedly makes a fake 911 call.

Mews Tavern Employee Charged With DWI Nicholas P. Lager, 29, of 21 Smith St., South Kingstown, was arrested at about 11:51 p.m. on May 17 and charged with drunken driving. According to police, an officer patrolling traffic near the entrance to the Salt Pond Plaza on Point Judith Road clocked a silver Saturn Ion at 52 miles per hour in a 30 mile per hour zone. A traffic stop was made on Route 108 past the Dillon Rotary, just before the town line. Police noted that the car was also swerving. URI Student Charged With Obstruction, Alcohol Possession at Beach Paul N. Mulligan, 20, of Aldrich Hall at the University of Rhode Island, was arrested at about 4:28 p.m. on March 22 and charged with obstruction. Mulligan was also cited for unlawful possession of alcohol by a minor. According to police, an officer noted Mulligan at the beach, urinating. They also noted that he had a Gatorade bottle that had alcohol in it. When asked if he was 21, Mulligan claimed that he was.
