South Kingstown Man Charged With Shoplifting Gregory S. Sampson, 49, of 88 Dam St., South Kingstown, was arrested at about 8:50 p.m. on April 29 and charged with shoplifting. According to police, they received a report from a security officer at Stop and Shop that they had caught Sampson attempting to leave the store with a carriage full of items. Police said that the security officer caught up to Sampson as he tried to leave in the parking lot with $215.34 worth of baby diapers, baby wipes and containers of Tide detergent.
