Narragansett Police Log: Domestic, Drunk Driving

Two are charged with DWIs, and a man is charged with domestic assault after an incident on New Year’s Eve.

Narragansett Woman Charged With Driving While Intoxicated Lorie J. Lang, 48, of 115 Nepaug Road, Apt. #B, Narragansett, was arrested about 2:30 a.m. on Jan. 10 and charged with driving while intoxicated and refusing to submit to a chemical test. According to police, an officer monitoring traffic on Boston Neck Road near the fire station clocked a car driven by Lang at 52 miles per hour in a 30 mile per hour zone. Narragansett Police Log: February 17 and 18, 2012

A Woonsocket firefighter is charged with driving while intoxicated after police clock his truck at 68 miles per hour in a 45 mile per hour zone.

Woonsocket Firefighter Charged With DWI Thomas M. McGill, 22, of 1489 Ministerial Road, Wakefield, was arrested at about 1:35 a.m. on Feb. 18 and charged with driving while intoxicated and refusing to submit to a chemical test. According to police, an officer spotted a red full-size pick-up truck traveling at a high rate of speed on Point Judith Road near the Westlake Garage. However, he was stopped at the time and couldn’t catch up to it, so a bulletin for the truck was issued. Woman, attempting to bail out friend charged with DUI, charged with DUI Police charged a South Kingstown woman with DUI when they had to respond to a D'Angelos sandwich shop minutes after she left the station to bail out her friend, who was also arrested on similar charges hours earlier. When police said her friend still had not been processed, the woman left the station with her 13-year-old daughter to pick up her 4-year-old daughter at a nearby D'Angelos sandwich shop. Police received two 911 calls minutes later reporting a car swerving all over the road heading to D'Angelos. Police caught up with the woman in her parked car at D'Angelos and reported she smelled of alcohol. She was charged with DUI. Her friend in booking had allegedly …

URI Student Charged With DWI Ryan William Bucknam, 18, of Fayerweather Hall at the University of Rhode Island, was arrested at about 1:29 a.m. on Feb. 11 and charged with driving while intoxicated and refusing to submit to a chemical test. According to police, officers made a traffic stop on Great Island Road because a car driven by Bucknam was traveling the wrong way down a one-way. West Kingston Woman Charged With DWI Elizabeth D. Just, 44, of 3682 Kingstown Road, West Kingston, was arrested at about 1:28 a.m. on Feb. 7 and charged with driving while intoxicated and refusing to submit to a chemical test. According to police, an officer traveling on Kingstown Road by Rockland Street saw a white Honda SUV with a headlight out. The officer turned around to follow the vehicle.
