Pair of URI Students Charged With DUIs

According to police, two University of Rhode Island students are charged with drunken driving in separate traffic stops. Narragansett police logs from March 21, March 22 and March 23, 2013.

URI Student Charged With Drunken Driving Julio Cesar Vasquez, 21, of 55 Hope Lane, Narragansett, was arrested at about 3:48 a.m. on March 23 and charged with drunken driving and cited for refusing to submit to a chemical test. Police said Vasquez is a student at the University of Rhode Island. According to police, an officer monitoring traffic on Point Judith Road saw a Jeep almost strike a curb while turning on to Galilee Escape Road. Man: Don’t Try To Find My $13k Watch

A man tells police that random women from Craigslist stole his $13,000 watch, but asks them not to investigate. Narragansett police logs for March 7, 2013.

Narragansett Teen Charged With Domestic Disorderly Conduct Benjamin K. Sekator, 18, of 66 Tupelo Trail, Narragansett, was arrested at about 2:34 a.m. on March 7 and charged with domestic disorderly conduct. According to police, based on an investigation of Sekator’s actions and statements from two family members, it appeared that he had ingested a substance and had a reaction to it, breaking a mirror in the process. A Smithfield man allegedly on a 16-hour journey to a rehab facility is charged with drunken driving.

Smithfield Man Charged With Drunken Driving Jeffrey R. Skurka, 24, of 203 Pinewood Drive, Smithfield, was arrested at about 12:38 a.m. on Feb. 12 and charged with drunken driving, and cited for refusing to submit to a chemical test. According to police, an officer monitoring traffic on Ocean Road clocked a car driven by Skurka at 50 miles per hour in a 25 mile per hour zone. A traffic stop was made at Turtle Soup. A Narragansett man is charged with domestic offenses after being forcibly removed from a home by police.

Narragansett Man Charged With Domestic Offenses Nathan W. Bonn, 20, of 32 Fernleaf Trail, Narraganstt, was arrested at about 11:38 a.m. on Dec. 27 and charged with domestic disorderly conduct and domestic vandalism. According to police, they received a report of a loud argument and an unruly man – later identified as Bonn – at the home of a 57-year-old Narragansett woman. Police said when they investigated, they found a Christmas tree lying at the foot of the stairs outside, as if it had been thrown, and damage to a wall inside the home, consistent with a punch. College Student Charged With Domestic Disorderly Conduct Brian A. Chausse, 18, of 53 Birchwood Drive, Narragansett, was arrested at about 10 p.m. on Dec. 17 and charged with domestic disorderly conduct. Police said Chausse is a student at Liberty University in Virginia. According to police, they received a report of Chausse losing his temper and breaking things at a home on Birchwood Drive. Police said that when they arrived, Chausse had calmed down, and told police that he had flipped over a table during an argument with a family member about a pair of pants. He was arrested …

Gray, 25, of 101 Cleveland St., South Kingstown, was arrested at about 1 a.m. on Dec. 11 and charged with domestic assault and domestic disorderly conduct. According to police, a 58-year-old Narragansett man reported two men and a woman arguing with one another in the street near Coffey Avenue. Police said upon arriving in the area, they were able to interview two women.
