A Narragansett man tells police that his windshield and bumper have been cracked for two years.

An arrest does not indicate a conviction. “The cracks had been there for two years.” At about 2 a.m., an officer noted a 2004 Hyundai XG350 partially blocking traffic on the Dillon Rotary near the Route 1 on-ramp. Police said cars had to pull around the Hyundai, which was parked in the roadway. Police said the car was unoccupied, but the smell of burnt rubbed was in the air, and there were two large impact points in the middle of the windshield. Jamestown Man Charged With Drunken Driving Alexander E. Tutsch, 22, of 89 Spindrift St., Jamestown, was arrested at about 12:46 a.m. on July 24 and charged with drunken driving and cited for refusing to submit to a chemical test. According to police, an officer traveling on Galilee Escape Road clocked a car driving at 79 miles per hour in a 45 mile per hour zone. Police followed the car, and noted that it also ran a red light at the intersection of Galilee Escape Road and Point Judith Road. A Cranston man lives after being thrown from his delivery truck Wednesday morning, and despite not wearing a seatbelt.
According to Narragansett police, a Cranston man was treated for non-life threatening injuries after he fell asleep at the wheel, flipping his delivery truck as a result, which then skidded on its side for about 100 feet. Anthony DiChiaro, 27, of 25 Pleasant St., Cranston, then told police that he fell out the passenger-side window before the truck – described as a 2007 white GMC 4500 Dunkin’ Donuts delivery truck – hit a utility pole, snapping it in half. DiChiaro also allegedly told police that he was not wearing his seatbelt. Police said the accident occurred at about 4:15 a.m. on Wednesday morning, near the Dunes Club, Narragansett Town Beach and Little Neck Pond.
