Why a little dissent is not necessarily a bad thing.
Nobody likes to fail a class. It's embarrassing to head home with your tail between your legs, ashamed of the horrible mark that you must show off to your parents. Then you get that earful and a half in which your parents say that they're disappointed, they know that you're better than that, and sometimes ending with being grounded. This actually isn't one of those cases. It became dangerously close to becoming that for me, thanks to a certain class that students were not allowed to fail (at least during my time at NHS). This class was a mid-level version taught as the AP version, which spelled potential disaster for my undiagnosed-ADHD mind.
