AG Declines to Move Forward on 3 Cases

Three unrelated local cases are dismissed after the attorney general's office decides not to prosecute.

Unless otherwise noted, files at Washington County Superior Court contain the information about the following court cases. You can review them at the McGrath Judicial Complex. According to files at Washington County Superior Court and Fourth Division District Court, the attorney general has decided not to proceed forward in three felony cases. Reasons for the dismissals were not included in court records. Man Charged With Carrying Weapon While Intoxicated

Jeffrey Jordan, 56, was charged by Narragansett police with possession of a shotgun while intoxicated, a felony.

Unless otherwise noted, information about the following incidents was supplied by the Narragansett Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction. Jeffrey M. Jordan, 56, of 55 Juniper Trail, Narragansett, was arrested at about 10:42 p.m. on Sept. 1 and charged with drunken driving and carrying a weapon while intoxicated, which is a felony. According to police, a caller told a dispatcher that a man in a black GMC pickup truck had almost struck several pedestrians while driving north on Ocean Road. Police found a truck matching the description on Boston Neck Road, and made a traffic stop near the town beach parking lot.
