Five things to know today in South Kingstown, Friday, Feb. 17, 2012.

1. Save a life or three. The Rhode Island South County Donor Center will be holding a blood drive today. The Rhode Island Blood Center is the only source of blood and blood products for the hospitals' of Rhode Island while also serving customers in Massachusetts and Connecticut. The Center must collect 240 to 280 pints of blood daily to meet the needs of its community, relying on the generosity of volunteer blood donors. 2. Every Friday night you can enjoy Bravo's wood fired pizza and salads at the Knights of Columbus Hall. Free ice cream for the kids with pizza purchase. Fast take out available too.
