5 THINGS: Food Trucks, Yoga and Bob Saget

Close out the work week on a relaxing note, with food or yoga or Bob Saget appreciation.

Here are the (more than) Five Things for Friday, May 17, 2013: Dr. Seuss was always my favorite, just throwing that out there. There is storytime at the Davisville Library at 10 a.m. For more info, click here. Who likes a food truck? Eddie’s BBQ will be setup on the gravel between Cumberland Farms and Brickley’s on Boston Neck Road in Narragansett from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. They’ll be there this Friday and Saturday, and throughout the summer. For more info, click here. Busy evening at Lotus Fire Yoga and Healing! At 4:30 p.m., there is a $15 yoga session. At 5:30 p.m., there are $15 ballroom and Latin dance classes. Close out the weekend with a variety of events.

Here are the (more than) Five Things for Sunday, May 12, 2013: Teach mom a very valuable skill. There is free mini-golf at Adventureland from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for moms. Spend a classy afternoon with mom. The Musica Dolce string quartet is playing at the Towers at 2 p.m. Tickets are $20. They’re not shooting the breeze – ha ha ha, get it, because they’re the wind ensemble? The University of Rhode Island Alumni Wind Ensemble plays at 3 p.m. at the Fine Arts Center in Kingston. Here are today’s government meetings: Please consider donating bone marrow. Narragansett’s Alex Cote, 14, is one person who has benefited from bone marrow transfers. There is a blood drive at the high school from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. today, the Village Inn Conference Center from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., and South County Hospital from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. You can register to donate marrow at all three locations.
