Three men are facing charges after being connected to robberies in three RI towns.
Police have connected multiple robberies in Exeter, North Kingstown and East Greenwich to three South County men, including one from Wakefield. Authorities had been searching for suspects in the robberies, which began Sunday night at the Shell Station on Ten Rod Road in North Kingstown. Hours later at around 5 a.m., the same suspects reportedly robbed another Shell Station in East Greenwich. According to reports from the East Greenwich Police Department, the suspect was a white male wearing a hooded sweatshirt and a bandana to cover his face. He handed the clerk a note demanding money. 54-year-old Wakefield resident Allan Jett is charged with robbing the Bonnet Shores Dunkin' Donuts, and charges could be coming for three additional robberies in South Kingstown.
A Wakefield man with an extensive history of burglary was arrested on a charge of breaking and entering after being found with the cash register from a Narragansett Dunkin’ Donuts in his car while it was parked behind an East Greenwich Cumberland Farms. According to Narragansett police logs, at about 2:01 a.m. on Saturday the burglar alarms at Dunkin’ Donuts in the North End of town went off. When officers arrived at about 2:08 a.m., the assailant had already left.
