NK Man Sentenced To Year For Domestic Offenses

Keith Mongillo, 35, is ordered to serve a year at the ACI after pleading no contest to repeatedly violating a no-contact order.

Keith Mongillo, 35, of 60 Georgia Ave., North Kingstown, pleaded no contest on March 8 to a North Kingstown police felony charge of violating a no-contact order. Mongillo was ordered to serve a year at the ACI, retroactive to Oct. 31, 2012, followed by four years probation and a four-year suspended sentence. Mongillo was also ordered to pay $575 in assessments and to complete domestic abuse counseling. Inmate Charged With 6 More Felony Domestic Offenses

Jason Morris, who is already serving a year at the ACI, is charged with six more felony counts for violating a no-contact order.

Unless otherwise noted, information about the following incidents was supplied by the South Kingstown Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction. Jason M. Morris, 27, of the ACI in Cranston and formerly of Wakefield, was arrested at about 9:19 a.m. on Feb. 13 and charged with six felony counts of violating a no-contact order. According to police, they received multiple complaints from a woman about Morris’ behavior. The woman said that between Jan. 9 and Feb. 12, Morris had made multiple attempts to contact her. Police said that the woman provided them with letters from Morris that mentioned her. Police also found calls logged from the ACI to the woman’s home, from a family member of Morris to the victim, and from a …

SK Man Charged With DWI; BAC Allegedly .326

South Kingstown police said Dustin D. Fildes, 34, crashed his car into a stone wall and had a blood alcohol level of .326.

Fildes, 34, of 129 Pearls Way, South Kingstown, was arrested at about 5 p.m. on Feb. 17 and charged with drunken driving with a blood alcohol level greater than 0.15. According to police, they received a 911 call of a car crashing into a stone wall at the intersection of Mooresfield Road and Rose Hill Road. Police said Fildes was behind the wheel of the car, which had no other occupants. Police said Fildes smelled strongly of alcohol, and told police he had had two beers and a shot of whiskey earlier.
