Tucked into the woods, this quiet playground and basketball court is the perfect place for a stop during a bike ride or walk, or to spend an afternoon to yourself. A large field is also available for general recreation.

Rhode Island's department of environmental management fish and wildlife division maintains over 3,000 acres ofMore wildland in West Kingston. Hunting is permitted within season with a license. The area is great for passive pursuits like hiking, bird watching, kayaking  and canoeing. The William C. O'Neill bike path runs through the area for a scenic ride.

There is a state run gun target range on site open only between April 1 and September 30. A permit is required and you must attend a range safety briefing prior to use. Permit applications are accepted by mail only from February 1 thru September 20 each year. Applications for permit are available online.
