The Leroy Thompson Memorial Playground is a small facility located just past the basketball court. It has several slides, some swings and a large toy dinosaur for playing. Parking for the playground and park is limited and often snapped up quickly by beach goers in the summer, since the Narragansett seawall is just a block away.

The park features an instructional-level baseball fieldMore that is visible from South Road, but the rest of the park is hidden in the light vegetation beyond. In this space, guests will find a full playground, swings and two horseshoe pits. A basketball court is available as well.

Along with the physical amenities, the park also doubles as the starting point for a network of walking trails that wind themselves all the way to Biscuit City Road.

Fisherman's Memorial State Park and Campground

TheMore campground offers a playground, basketball and tennis courts and several open fields, along with amenities like public restrooms and dumpsters. A variety of camping plans are available and detailed fully on the park's website. A farmer's market is also held at the park on Sunday mornings.

This is a favorite spot for pet owners who wish to bring their dogs for a romp in the field as well as families who would like to enjoy the fenced-in playground or enjoy a picnic outside the tennis courts. 

The town of Narragansett maintains this nine-acre park, which is open year-round. 

West Kingston Park

This park, situated on several acres near Shickasheen farm on Route 138, features a host of activities and recreationMore fields.  Two massive softball fields are the centerpieces of the park, with one lighted for night time games.  There are also two tennis courts on site where spring and summer lessons are held.   The park also features two beach volleyball nets.  

The park's expansive playground makes it an ideal location to bring young children.  There is also a full-size basketball court that converts into two smaller courts.  

YMCA Camp Fuller

Established in 1887, YMCA Camp Fuller provides children age 6 through 17 with a myriad of both aquatic and on-landMore activities. For those who are more inclined to water activities, Camp Fuller has a number of options, including canoeing, sailing, swimming, waterskiing, windsurfing and even a marine biology program. In addition to the water activities, there is archery, arts and crafts, basketball, climbing, mountain biking and skateboarding. Camp Fuller, located on 64 acres of land along Point Judith Pond, provides young boys and girls with an opportunity to grow and advance as individuals.
Tuckertown Park and Recreation Area

Tuckertown Park contains a wealth of recreational resources. At the park, you will find several soccer fields, oftenMore used for South Kingstown youth leagues and school practices and matches. The park is home to South Kingstown youth softball and little leagues, with a little league and softball field available.

Additionally, the park features two tennis courts, a large basketball court with the option of splitting the court into two smaller courts, and clean restrooms. There is also a large playground with swings.

To the east of the entrance are six small picnic and grill areas overlooking Tucker Pond, as well as a large covered picnic pavilion. A historic cemetery is also located within the grounds.

Old Mountain Field

South Kingstown Town Old Mountain Field is a powerhouse of recreational space, offering everything from two top-classMore baseball and softball fields to a skate park. The park is also the site of South Kingstown's official Fourth of July fireworks display.

Closest to the street off Kingstown Road is a lighted softball field, home of the South Kingstown Girls Slow-Pitch Softball League. The expansive, lighted space even features a "Green Monstah" in left field.  The large baseball field behind is often used by Rhode Island's amateur baseball league.  There is also a batting cage available for use.

Behind the athletic fields you can find a roller hockey rink that is available to be rented, and an expansive skate park that offers a variety of obstacles including a mini-ramp.  To the north are two lighted tennis courts.

A well-lit basketball court completes the picture, with the ability to split the court into two smaller courts.  The park also features restrooms and a concession stand.  Behind the fields near the roller rink you will find several walking trails.

Green Hill Park

Green Hill Park, located off Green Hill Beach Road in South Kingstown, is a town recreational facility hosting 2.5More acres of meticulously maintained land, picnic and play facilities.

At the park you will find playgrounds, swings, full tennis courts, full and practice basketball courts, as well as a volleyball pit. Fields and open areas abound for football, soccer and other sporting activities.

Plenty of benches are available for relaxing and taking in the surroundings. The picnic area has several grills and tables available for use. Reservation of the area and rental is made through the Town Parks & Recreation department. Please book at least 48 hours in advance.

For walkers, a short 1/4 acre loop of walking trail winds its way through the facilities.

Restroom facilities are available seven days a week.

Dogs are allowed on leash and waste removal is required.

No alcohol is allowed at the facility.
