The University of Rhode Island (URI), the state's public university, is a diverse and competitive school with a world of learning available. Along with its sprawling campus in Kingston, the university operates three other locations throughout the state.
The university offers a full range of degree pursuits in dozens of majors, from associates through professional degrees such as, nursing and pharmacy. It is currently under the leadership of Dr. David Dooley, and over the last several years has expanded its resident housing and added dynamic, energy-efficient new campus buildings.
