When my wife and I began searching for a daycare facility that provided a clean, safe, secure, and well structured environment for our newborn son we held The Goddard school as our benchmark. Nowhere else did we find all the qualities we'd demand from a childcare center to care for our most precious gift. It didn't take long after enrollment to feel totally comfortable leaving our son in the care of Clay and Gina Johnson–owner/operators (who by the way have two children of their own) along with their director Lauren, Nurse Jerri and the well educated and experienced teaching staff. The Goddard School understands the individual needs of children and their parents, as well as their expectations and are extremely accommodating. Additionally, they occasionally provide extra curricular activities and events for community children on weekends, as well as offering "Parents Night Out"; a childcare program one Friday night a month for a minimal fee. So when we had our second child, there was no question where and who would care for our baby–The Goddard School. Keep up the great work and service you provide!

My daughter has been at Goddard since they opened. I was working full time and trying to finish my degree then. The owners and staff treated my 6 mo old daughter like family and did more than babysit; they taught her how to communicate and learn through sign language and play, at such an early age! This was so important to me, especially at a time when I was worried I couldn’t give her enough of myself. The staff was great, giving detailed reports on daily activities, feeding, diapering, and any accidental injury no matter how minor. It felt like special treatment, but I know they treat all students and parents that way because I witness it every day. I’m amazed at how much both my kids have learned. My daughter will start kindergarten this fall and is already reading, and with encouragement can spell most words you give her; and our son (3 yrs) is progressing just as quickly. I’m also impressed with how staff handles our son’s excessive energy and occasional aggressive outbursts without negativity and provides him with positive reinforcement. One of the best things about the owners and staff is the commitment they have to their students and their communication with the parents. Anytime there is a perceived issue, they address it head-on and openly, making it a non-issue before it ever becomes a real concern. I highly recommend Goddard to anyone wanting to provide their children with an excellent early education and a safe nurturing environment to learn and grow.
Finding the perfect daycare for children is one of the most daunting tasks as a new parent. You want to find a facility that will be the best substitute for you and your spouse. You want teachers who will nuture and care for your children, who will teach and learn from your children. After visiting several daycare centers, I knew Goddard was the right place for us. I have had both of my children enrolled at the school at 7 weeks old. It is amazing to see the countless hours of dedication reflected in my children, from sign language to Spanish, yoga and cognitive skills. They have even initiated potty training, and we all know how difficult that can be, when our daughter demonstarted signs that she was ready. The teachers have helped us to become better parents by letting us know of the milestones our children reach and what we might do to encourage this development. I would highly recommend the Goddard School and their wonderfully patient and understanding teachers! Dr. Jennifer Torbett, DMD
I have been working as a visiting clinician with the Goddard school for 7 months now. I have clients in several different rooms with Autism and/or behavioral problems. I have worked one on one with at least 9 of their teachers to instruct them on protocals of empirically researched applied behavior analysis, which is the only FDA approved therapy for children with Autism/behavior problems. The teachers and admin. have spent countless volunteer hours meeting with me, demonstrating competency in the instruction and having conferences with parents and/or other required professionals. While there, I have witnessed teachers and admin. go above and beyond what they are required to do, the diligent guidelines for safety protocal, food preparation and nutrition and especially the curriculum, as it is one that out ranks any I have seen in over the 12 years of experience I have as a preschool teacher, teacher, special education teacher, mental health therapist, Board Certified Behavior Analyst and step parent. They have an open door policy and I invite you to come in and see for yourself, you will be amazed at the quality of this facility and all it entails. I want to personally thank all the teachers for their willingness to work diligantly with me to improve the life of my clients, the admin. who go above and beyond to assist me in my day to day activities there and the children for making my job great because I get to see your happy faces everyday! Our family has such wonderful things to say about Goddard. Our son has been there since he was 3 months old. He gets so excited as soon as we pull into the parking lot in the morning. The staff have been amazing and have helped our son learn so much! Miss Lindsay is one of the greatest teachers and shows so much love and patience with our 2 1/2 year old, which isn't always easy. Mr. Clay, Miss. Gina, and Miss Lauren make an awesome team!
We had our first child here for 8 months. We had to remove him because their teachers/staff did not follow their documentation for children and dehydration. They could not detect it and had no canopy or any shady places for children to be out of the sun in the summer (even though their plan said they would). Our son had multiple days where he had no more than 3 oz of fluid over a 8 hour time period and the staff saw nothing wrong with that. We would not recommend this facility to any parent.
After four years, Goddard School has become a very close extension of our family. The peace of mind that Goddard provides to me is absolutely invaluable and I am so thankful that we have this daycare in our backyard. We now have 2 children at Goddard, Ben will be moving into the Pre-K room in a few weeks and has been at Goddard since he was 3 months old. Ryan, age 11 months is moving up to the Infant2 room soon. The learning and curriculum, the beautiful facility, the teacher:student ratio and wonderful care that these teachers provide, the school's community involvement and most notably, the close friendships my children are already forming - Goddard School is truly the best! We could not be happier.
The Goddard School was our first experience with Day Care. Our 2 1/2 year old loves it...she ask's each morning if she is going to school today - to me, that is the best recommendation you can get!
The staff is kind and professional and we have been very happy with the whole experience.

We want to truly expressed the fantastic experience we had and how wonderful and caring the people at Goddard truly are. The teachers cared for our son as if he was their own and really assured us through the tough transition of leaving our baby. For this guidance and support we are extremely grateful. It isn't often that you find a place so wonderful and accommodating but it is very rare to find a staff so warm, caring and gentle as the one we came across at Goddard. We felt very comfortable everyday leaving our son and we knew that he would not only be well cared for but he would be enriched and challenged as well. We feel very blessed to come in contact with you and we are so grateful that our son was apart of this wonderful school.
