Cupcake MADNESS at The Village Inn Today!

Swing by, because Narragansett and South Kingstown Patch will also have a table at this fine, fine event.

NARRAGANSETT – More than 40 master cupcake chefs and young amateur chefs will participate at the second annual Cupcake Madness, which runs from noon to 4 p.m. today at the Narragansett Pier Ballroom at .

Organizer John Shaw expects about 750 to 1,500 people for the event today. Proceeds help benefit the Friends of Hazard Castle, a non-profit headed by Shaw that is currently fundraising to preserve .

Admission for the event is free – Tickets are sold both to purchase cupcakes, and to vote for your favorites. Beyond the cupcakes, there will be a book signing by author Lisa Schroeder, an art gallery from Narragansett Elementary School students, and various other community performers and musicians.

The celebrity guest judge for the event is Casey Shiller, a winner of the Food Network's Cupcake Wars. For more info on him, click here.
