Take advantage of the various plant, yard and yart sales today, via Five Things.

Buy yourself a Venus fly trap, or even better, a Mercury fly trap. There is a Mother’s Day plant sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the today. For more info, go .

Probably not Venus fly traps, but still, invasive none the less. There will be an invasive plant removal from 8 a.m. to noon today at the East Side of Lake Canonchet, across from Narragansett Beach.

Speaking of plants… The URI East Farm Spring Festival runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at East Farm on Route 108. For more info, click . There are a slew of free events, so check it out!

A yart sale – not a typo. Foampix, which are lightweight, easy to mount wall photos, is having a “yart” sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 80 Gibson Avenue in Narragansett. For more info, go .

No vampires allowed. The Rhode Island Blood Center is hosting at in Kingston from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
