Live Blog: Girls' Division II Basketball Semifinals

Join us tonight from Rhode Island College, starting a bit before 6 p.m.

Can’t make it up to Rhode Island College tonight for the Division II girls’ basketball quarterfinals? Patch has your solution, as Narragansett Patch’s will be blogging from both games.

For a full bracket, check out the RIIL’s site here. The slate for today:

  • At 6 p.m., No. 4N Johnston (14-10, 12-6 Division II-North) faces No. 2N Classical (21-5, 14-4 Division II-North).
  • At 8 p.m., No. 2S Narragansett (20-4, 16-2 Division II-South) faces No. 1N Moses Brown (19-2, 17-1 Division II-North).

The opening round went all-chalk, as the remaining eight teams all defeated the underdogs. In the Elite Eight, last year’s champion, Prout, was bested by Classical, Johnston upset No. 1S Rogers, and Narragansett and Moses Brown easily handled Scituate and East Greenwich.
