Bomb Squad To Host NCAA Recruiting Seminar

Student athletes can learn all about the complex process of college recruiting during the free seminar.

Aspiring college athletes take note: An NCAA Recruiting Seminar open to parents and student-athletes will be held on March 5 at 7:30 p.m. at the Bomb Squad Baseball Company, 1174 Kingstown Road.

The one-hour seminar is free of charge and will outline the college recruiting process. The seminar will serve to educate student-athletes and parents in an effort to better understand the complex world of college recruiting and will allow them to make knowledgeable decisions.

The seminar will be led by Steve Breitbach, a former college player, coach and recruiting coordinator, who has extensive experience on both sides of the recruiting process.

The seminar will cover:

  • NCAA clearinghouse.
  • NCAA eligibility.
  • NCAA recruiting rules.
  • Rules of communicating with a college coach.
  • Important factors to consider when choosing a college.
  • How to make college coaches aware of who you are.
  • Importance of academics, including eligibility requirements.
  • Letters of intent and what they mean.
  • Choosing the proper fit.
