School is in Session. Moms.. be sure to take time for YOURSELF!

With local schools getting back on track this week this leaves many moms with some more time to focus on themselves. Mom, take this time for you! The time is now. Priority # 1: Your health!

With local schools getting back on track this week this leaves many moms with some more time to focus on themselves. Mom, take this time for you! The time is now.
Priority # 1: Your health!


Most moms tend to put their children first, but in the end most moms end up neglecting their own health. Remember moms, if you cannot take care of yourself... how do you expect to take care of your children?


Here is what to do:
Sit down and set aside a specific amount of time for yourself. It could be 30 minutes or 3 hours, whatever you feel is necessary for you. Start off by establishing 1 goal that you want to improve related to your health. Then map out a plan on how you are going to achieve it.

Please make sure your goals are realistic and attainable. Have a long term goal 6 months or more and set small realistic goals (1-month or less) to reach that long term goal. This will always keep you focused on your main goal.
For example, say you want to lose weight and have your clothes fit better, so you decide you are going to start a workout program but you are not currently participating in physical activity. Don’t say you are going to workout every day of the week, especially if you have never done that before. Make it realistic, start with something manageable say 3 times per week. Once you feel as if you have made this a part of your lifestyle, you can always change it and increase as you progress.
Improved health can come in many forms, improved sleep, improved nutrition, better communication skills,  less stress, weight loss, clothes fitting better, having more energy (to enjoy your time with your little ones), better strength...etc.

Once your goal is established, keep it in a place where you will see it right when you wake up in the morning, this will keep your mind focused on this goal daily and will help to hold YOU accountable.


Whatever the goal is, YOU must establish it and commit to it NOW. If you keep putting it off then it will never get done. Stop with the excuses.
This is the time for a NEW YOU! Don’t wait till the New Year, you can start living the life that you want NOW.
