Rep. Walsh, Sen. Cool Rumsey to Host South County Voter Forum

South County residents are invited to share their thoughts, hopes and concerns for their communities during Saturday's community forum.

From 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Jan. 25, Rep. Donna Walsh (D-District 36, Block Island, Charlestown, South Kingstown, Westerly) and Senator Cathie Cool Rumsey (D-District 39, Charlestown, Exeter, Hopkinton, Richmond) will host a forum at the Cross’ Mills Public Library, located at 4417 Old Post Road in Charlestown.

Rep. Walsh and Senator Cool Rumsey welcome all residents living or working in their district for coffee and snacks.

During her four terms of service in the Rhode Island House, Rep. Walsh has focused on the economy, the environment and ethics, and has authored numerous bills on those subjects that have been enacted into law.

She co-chairs the Joint Committee on Economic Development and the Joint Commission on Affordable Housing Implementation. She is vice-chair of the House Environment Committee and also serves on the House Judiciary Committee.

Senator Cool Rumsey is in her first term during which she has served on the Senate Health & Human Services, and Environment & Agriculture Committees. She also co-chairs The Joint Behavioral Health and Firearms Safety Task Force.
