The Narragansett Prevention Partnership has convened a panel of experts to provide parents with facts about the alarming increase in prescription drug abuse by teens in Narragansett and nationwide, and discuss strategies for reversing this trend. The panel will also discuss other scary emerging drug products like synthetic marijuana and bath salts that are known to be gaining favor among young people.

On board for the panel are Rhode Island Assistant Attorney General Jay Sullivan, pharmacist Dr. Jeffrey DeNuccio, South County Hospital Emergency Department Director of Nursing Laurie Browning, Narragansett High School Student Assistant Counselor Sarah Laidler, and Narragansett Police officers John Silveira and Mark Allsup.

Submit your questions ahead of time to ndevaney@ihdri.org and they will be answered anonymously during the panel discussion. Bring a friend and come along!
