UPDATE, Oct. 29, 5:30 pm: Bryant University has cancelled classes for Tuesday, Oct. 30. Administrative offices will remain closed.

UPDATE, Oct. 29, 12:25 pm: Sandbags for Smithfield residents are available at the DPW garage, 3 Spragueville Road.

UPDATE, Oct. 29, 12 pm: Bryant University ends classes, closes offices as of noon. More information here

Checking to see if businesses in Smithfield are closed because of Hurricane Sandy?

The page lists all public and private schools, as well as businesses and government agencies.

RIBA also allows computer and smartphone users to sign up for email and text alerts on school closures.

Just got word via Facebook that the Smithfield YMCA will be closed Monday, Oct. 29.

The Children's Workshop announced via Twitter that all of its locations will be closed on Monday, Oct. 29.
