5 THINGS: Friday, I’m In Love

These Five Things actually don't really have much to do with love at all, but hey, isn't The Cure pretty great?

Here are the Five Things for Friday, January 27, 2012, and the weekend as well:

Check out the A-game from The B-Sides! According to , The B-Sides are an eight-piece show band and revue from Narragansett in its second year of performing. They play 7 p.m. Saturday at the Towers, and admission is $10. You can visit the band’s website here.

Examining the broad history of the Narrow River. Sports – good lord, there are a lot of sports. Frankly, it’s just a bit too much to even cover fully in a simple Five Things. For the full schedule of games Friday and Saturday, click here. Girls’ and boys’ basketball play Friday, boys’ ice hockey plays Friday, girls’ ice hockey plays Friday and Sunday, and cheerleading, wrestling, and boys’ and girls’ indoor track is Saturday.

WHAT? OKAY! Jonathan Mortimer Smith, better known as rapper Lil Jon, turns 41 today. He is now mostly known for being a caricature of himself, ever since that Dave Chappelle skit. YEAH!

“Hey, what the heck are you up to this weekend, Steve Patch?” Frankly, rest and relaxation – since there was snow in the forecast last weekend, we’ll be taking it easy here at Narragansett Patch this weekend, in order to balance out hours and what not. Yes, we will still be covering any sort of breaking news that happens, but it’ll be a lighter news load than usual this weekend – only expect two to four articles on Saturday and Sunday. If you need to be entertained, well, I suggest The Cure.
