Troopers marched down Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, D.C. the day JFK was sworn into office.

Honoring the 50th anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, the Rhode Island State police took a look back at the president's inauguration, and the RI troopers who took part.

Troopers Hey, Griffin, Neill and Richards, and Sergeant O’Connell were decked out in the famous state police uniform as they marched down Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, D.C. Jan. 20, 1961. The State Police honored the anniversary of Kennedy's death with the post on its Facebook page Thursday.
