State Police Log, June-July 2013: Disorderly, Bench Warrant and Child Molestation

A collection of various Narragansett and South Kingstown-related arrests made by RI State Police. The following information does not indicate a conviction.

Wickford Barracks

  • On June 22, at 6:30 p.m., Troopers arrested Tyler Ormsby, 20, of 40 Hazard Ave., South Kingstown, RI, for Disorderly Conduct. Ormsby was transported to the New Shoreham Police Department where he was held overnight pending a morning arraignment. The arrest was the result of Troopers responding to Ballards Inn for a disturbance.
  • At 8:08 p.m. on July 9, Troopers, arrested Michael Sgambato, 45, of 10 Kingston Ave., South Kingstown, RI, for 1.) Family Court Reciprocal Body Attachment Warrant for Failure To Appear For Non-Support and 2.) Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Ability to Pay hearing on the original charge of Driving with a Suspended License out of the Rhode Island State Police-Wickford Barracks. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95, in the City of Warwick. Sgambato was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution Intake Center.

Detective Bureau

  • On July 6, members of the State Police Detective Bureau along with members of the State Police Hope Valley Barracks arrested Kyle Correia, 28, of 427 Hog House Hill Rd., West Kingston, RI, for the following: 1.) First Degree Child Molestation, 2.) First Degree Sexual Assault, and 3.) Violation of a No Contact Order. Correia was processed at the State Police Hope Valley Barracks, arraigned and held at the Adult Correctional Institution as a probation violator. The arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by members of the Detective Bureau.
