State Police Log: Forgery, DUI and Bench Warrants

A collection of various Narragansett and South Kingstown-related arrests made by RI State Police. The following information does not indicate a conviction.

Hope Valley Barracks

  • On Dec. 27 at 10:20 a.m., Troopers arrested Heather Miller, 44, of 146 Bedford Dr., South Kingstown, for Driving While Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs, 1st Offense - BAC Unknown. 

The arrest was the result of troopers responding to a motor vehicle accident and subsequent investigation. Miller was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks where she consented to a blood test and later provided a blood sample at Kent County Hospital. Miller was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and subsequently released.

  • At 7:50 p.m. on Dec. 28, Troopers arrested Jacob Chabot, 24, of 155 Old North Rd., South Kingstown, on a Fourth District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Ability to Pay on a charge of Operating on a Suspended License originating out of South Kingstown Police Department. 

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on First Avenue in East Greenwich. Chabot was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed then turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution Intake Center.

Wickford Barracks

  • On Dec. 28 at 8:30 p.m., Troopers arrested Jeffrey Wright, 35, of 83 High St., South Kingstown, for a 2nd District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Ability to Pay on the original charge of Driving on a Suspended License originating from the Jamestown Police Department. 

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 4 in East Greenwich. Wright was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, and later released by a Justice of the Peace after posting the required surety bail.

  • At 8:00 a.m. on Dec. 29, Troopers arrested Wendy Langevin-Goodine, 39 of 100 Nepaug Rd., Narragansett, for 1. Unlawful Appropriation, 2. Obtaining Money Under False Pretense, 3. Forgery and Counterfeiting. 
The arrest was the result of a barracks investigation. Langevin-Goodine was processed, arraigned and released by Justice of the Peace Robinson.
