South Kingstown Police officers charged 16-year-old boy with assault after he allegedly kicked a teacher in the face during school hours at the Bradley School.

Officers arrived at the school on May 28 to find three teachers restraining the student in a classroom floor. The boy’s teacher told officers the student had been swinging a wiffle ball bat in class and otherwise being disruptive. When the teacher approached the student to take the bat, the student kicked him in the legs and the stomach, he told officers. The boy then kicked another teacher in the face, splitting his lip, according to reports.
