SK Police Log: Curbside Commode

The following arrest information was supplied by the South Kingstown Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

By Patrick Luce

Officers responded to 11 Wendy Lane for reports of a man defecating on the side of the road, which is apparently not a rare occurrence.

The owner of the property on Wendy Lane told police drivers coming from nearby Route 1 frequently stop near his home to use the woods as a bathroom, and he’s tired of seeing his property used as a porta-potty. The owner chased the bowel mover off his property and copied down his license plate number.

Officers ran the plates and found the owner to Jules Seigel, of 1177 Saugatucket Road, who reportedly admitted to police he stopped to use the makeshift bathroom due to a medical emergency. He cleaned up his mess and escaped with a warning.

Taylor Renee Clary, 23, of 210 Kenyon Ave., Apt. C, Wakefield, was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest on Aug. 6 after a Rodman Street resident called police to ask assistance removing his son’s girlfriend from his home.  The man said Clary routinely refuses to leave the house when she’s told to.

Clary complied when officers asked her to leave, but on the front lawn, she reportedly began cursing and yelling loudly that she doesn’t understand why she has to leave. When she tried to reenter the home, officers stopped her. She reportedly lunged at an officer and tried to escape his grasp. She also reportedly tried to kick an officer as he placed her in the cruiser.
