SK Man Injured In Ledyard, CT Crash

Jarrod Fletcher, 28, required extraction from the vehicle and suffered serious injuries.

Two people, including a South Kingstown man, were seriously injured in an early morning car crash Sunday on Rose Hill Road in Ledyard, CT.

Emergency crews responded to a report of a vehicle crash at about 1:38 a.m. and found a car off the road and in the woods.

The passengers, Cory Hutzler, 27, of 2 Highland Street, Taftville, CT, and Jarrod Fletcher, 28, of 683 Middlebridge Road, South Kingstown, sustained significant injuries and required extrication from the vehicle. They were transported by ambulance to the William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich.

Lifestar was requested but was unable to fly due to weather.

The driver, Toni Murallo, 51, of 9 Crandell Hill Road, Montville was uninjured in the crash.

The Ledyard Police Department, Ledyard Fire Department, Ledyard Volunteer Emergency Squad, Gales Ferry Fire Department, Preston and Poquetanuck Fire Departments, American Ambulance Paramedic and Lawrence & Memorial Hospital Paramedics responded.

The cause of this crash remains under investigation by the Ledyard Police Department Accident Reconstruction Team.
