North Kingstown Woman Charged With Assault
Jodie Dumont, 34, of 51 New Lexington Road, North Kingstown, was arrested at about 12:57 a.m. on Sept. 17 and charged with assault.
According to police, based on interviews with Dumont and the victim, the two had been arguing in a truck together on the drive home from a bar.
Police said that based on the interviews, Dumont became upset when the driver took them to his parents’ home in Narragansett instead of her home in North Kingstown, and scratched the man during the argument.
Police noted that Dumont appeared to be highly intoxicated and incoherent, and had long fingernails, consistent with the scratch marks on the man. She was arrested without incident, processed and released at about 2:14 a.m.
