The following arrest information was supplied by the Narragansett Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

  • Robert Edward Hilbern, 55, of no known address, was charged with disorderly conduct Aug. 3 after officers found him lying facedown in front of the bathrooms at Sprague Park, “bothering/horrifying the Little Leaguers,” according to police reports.

Hilbern was lying face-down on the concrete, snoring and drooling, blocking the entrance to both restrooms in the park. Surrounding him was his bike, several empty food contains, and “a bucket of foul-smelling squids with numerous flies swarming around it,” the report reads.

After several attempts, officers were finally able to awaken Hilbern, who was reportedly intoxicated. Officers issued Hilbern a $100 citation and a no trespass order for Sprague Park.

  • Dean Gomes, 34, of 138 Indian Trail, Narragansett, was charged with domestic vandalism and domestic disorderly conduct on Aug. 7 after he reportedly threw his girlfriend’s cell phone against the wall during an argument.
  • Ann Marie Auclair, 28, of 748 Bernon St., Woonsocket, was charged with driving  without a license Aug. 4 after reports of a possible road rage incident on Galilee Escape Road.

A caller reported the occupants of Auclair’s car and a silver Jeep had been in a fight on the road. Officers caught up with both vehicles at a Cumberland Farms on Point Judith Road, learning the men in the two cars had just been wrestling for fun. Auclair, who was driving, reportedly admitted to never having gotten a driver’s license. She was arrested and issued a court summons.

  • Officers responded to 25 Gardenia Lane at about 2 a.m. on Aug. 3 for reports of a man lying on the ground bleeding from the ears and nose. They arrived to find about 100 people standing around the victim (some applying pressure to his bleeding wounds), bottles and cans littering the area and a smashed mailbox in the street.

The victim was conscious but incoherent, according to reports, and was covered in blood, though not bleeding from the ears. Four or five men attacked him in the street during a party at the house, according to a witness statement, before leaving in a silver Chrysler Seabring convertible.  The car came back registered to Meghan Mcentee, of 305 Col. John Gardner Road, and witness descriptions fit those of her two brothers, Rory and Michael Mcentee. Officers spoke to the men’s parents, but were unable to locate the pair. The victim declined to press charges.
