According to South Kingstown police, a 17-year-old resident of Holly Road has been arrested for marijuana cultivation – a felony – in connection with a raid on Oct. 20.
Because he is a minor, the boy was not identified in police reports. He was also charged with possession of marijuana, first offense.
According to police, a search of the boy’s room revealed a full mason jar of marijuana, another mason jar hall full of marijuana, and $150 in cash. After an investigation, the charges were filed against the boy on Nov. 28.

Police reports for the minor’s Nov. 28 arrest expanded on earlier reports about the raid on Oct. 20.
According to police, White expanded the scope of his marijuana grow operation as compared to 2008. Police said a wall was taken down in the basement, and the entire floor space was devoted to a grow operation, instead of just half as in 2012.
In addition, police also seized several computers believed to be used for the grow operation. However, they noted that they had not yet been searched, since another warrant would have to be obtained.
